Project Overview
Uruguay is the leading country in digital learning in Latin America with its active utilization of information and communication technology (ICT) in education. Placing a high priority on cultivating 21st century skills for all, HTHT Uruguay aims to introduce innovative and interactive instructional modes of learning featuring high-tech adaptive learning systems in Mathematics and Computational Thinking. In December 2020, a contract was forged between ECA and Ceibal, an agency supporting Uruguay’s digital learning under the auspices of the Office of the President. Funded by the Korea Trust Fund at the Inter-American Development Bank, the project aims to target 97 schools, 159 teachers, and 3777 students over the course of the next 22 months.
